When and Where does archery training take place?Monday Evenings (expect bank holidays) from 7-9pm at John Mitchels GAA Club, N22 Tralee, Co. Kerry where we provide a welcoming environment for archers of all ages and skill levels to practice, learn, and compete.

Do I need my own equipment?We supply everything required for the duration of the beginner course. We do not recommend that you purchase any equipment prior to completion of the beginners course and then only under the advisement of a club coach. We have limited club equipment available for use during club training sessions. However, as you progress, we encourage members to eventually invest in their own archery equipment, including bows, arrows, and protective gear.

Who can join An Riocht Archery Club?Our club is open to anyone interested in archery, regardless of age or experience level. Whether you're a beginner, intermediate, or advanced archer, we welcome you to join our club and participate in our activities. For safety reasons, young children may need to be accompanied by a guardian during practice sessions.

Are there any membership fees?Yes, we have membership fee that covers the operational costs of the club, maintenance of facilities, and organisation of events and programs. The fee is pay-as-you-go weekly or monthly (at a slight discount). All members must also be Archery Ireland or IFAF members for insurance purposes. (Your beginner course fee includes all the above for 8 weeks)

Do I need prior archery experience to join?No prior experience is required to join our archery club. We offer beginner courses to help you get started and develop your archery skills.

What activities does the archery club offer?We organise a range of activities, including weekly practice sessions, beginner courses, coaching programs, friendly internal competitions, themed seasonal shoots and social events such as bring a friend nights. We also participate in local and regional archery tournaments for those interested in competitive archery.

Are there certified instructors at the club?Yes, we have Archery Ireland certified instructors and coaches who provide guidance and training to club members. They have extensive knowledge and experience in archery and are committed to helping individuals improve their skills.

Are there any safety rules and regulations?Yes, safety is of utmost importance to us. We have strict safety rules and regulations in place to ensure the well-being of all participants. All members are required to adhere to these guidelines.

Can I bring my own equipment to the club?Absolutely! Members are welcome to bring their own archery equipment to use during practice sessions. However, please ensure that your equipment meets safety standards and is in good working condition.
